About
Artist's Statement
Art has been a lifelong companion for me, shaped by curiosity, learning, and the desire to create something that speaks. "Light, as a subject and its role in art, has always piqued my curiosity," and it remains the thread that guides my work-revealing form, shaping space, and transforming perception.
As a realist, I'm drawn to portraits, figures, and the subtle relationships between people. I explore how shadows merge with form, how negative space becomes its own presence, and how a two-dimentional surface can open into a third dimension. Pastels, discovered later in my artistic journey, reawakened the joy of color I first felt as a child with crayons.
I believe every artwork is a perceptive event connecting artist and observer. Nothing exists in isolation; darks are understood through lights, and each stroke is shaped by what surrounds it. My hope is that each piece invites you to look more closely, to question, and to discover your own moment of recognition.
